Tests and Results
Results from any tests we do are sent to a laboratory to be analysed.
Depending on the test this can take from a few days to a couple of
weeks, however on any test you should be given the length of time it
takes the lab to produce a result.
These results are then sent to Warwick Gates Family Health Centre where
a doctor will need to read the results and advise the next course of
action.
You can call up for results by calling our usual number 461800
and asking to see if we have any recent test results for you. The
receptionists can see the name of the test e.g. microbiology and whether
it has been read by a doctor and what the doctor recommends should
happen next. Depending on the nature of the test and the result we can
either tell you over the phone that everything is normal, or you will be
requested to book a routine appointment with any doctor or a telephone
consultation.
Please Note: The
guardians/parents of a child under 16 can collect/phone up to get the
the results for them, however once he/she reaches 16 they have to call
up for the results themselves and we are unable to give the results to
anyone else.
