Please note routine pregnancy testing is not available at this surgery. You may purchase reliable pregnancy tests from any pharmacy.

These are carried out by our specially trained practice nurses and some of the female GP’s
All family planning matters can be discussed at appointments with our GP’s, practice nurses and Midwife. Dr's Moria Rose, Dr Suzanne Redfern and Dr Ruth Penfold are trained GP's enabling them to perform insertion/removal of contraceptive implants and coils.
Our nurse-led clinics help patients manage long term conditions which require regular monitoring and assessment. Clinic appointments are available Monday – Thursday. We operate a recall system for the following conditions sending an annual invitation for you to attend.

Immunisations for pre-school children may be booked with our nursing team
A number of minor operative procedures are performed at the surgery. Please consult your doctor for advice and information. Cryotherapy is used for some skin conditions.
Our specially trained nurses offer one to one support on longer appointment times.
Blood testing is carried out at the surgery. Appointments for blood tests are offered each working day via the reception desk. Please note that children aged 12 yrs and under need to attend Warwick Hospital for a blood test.
A travel health advice service is available with the Practice Nurses. Please arrange an appointment at least 8 weeks, or earlier for complex travel itineries, in advance of your departure date to ensure adequate protection before you travel. Doctors will complete private medical reports for such purposes as private health insurance and holiday cancellations, and carry out examinations for eg. insurance reports and HGV driving licences. A charge will be made for these services as they are not provided by the NHS. The surgery staff can advise you of these charges.

Appointments are available on Mondays and Thursday mornings. Patients booking for a first time appointment should be nine weeks gestation. On booking for the midwife we ask you to fill out a form and the midwife will contact you and this could be at home or at the surgery.
A message book is held at the surgery for patients wishing to contact the midwife; this is accessed weekly on a Tuesday or can be phoned through on the day, if requested.
The new mums and babies (baby weighing clinic) is held at Warwick Gates Community Centre 09:30 - 11:30 on Thursday mornings.
On registering with the practice, our health visitors will make contact with parents of children under 5 years old; this provides the family with the opportunity to discuss family health issues and to obtain information about the local Health Visiting Service.

If you require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel you need to make an appointment with the practice nurse to discuss your travel arrangements. This will include which countries and areas within countries that you are visiting to determine what vaccinations are required.

It is important to make this initial appointment as early as possible - at least 6 weeks before you travel - as a second appointment will be required with the practice nurse to actually receive the vaccinations. These vaccines have to be ordered as they are not a stock vaccine. Your second appointment needs to be at least 2 weeks before you travel to allow the vaccines to work.
Some travel vaccines are ordered on a private prescription and these incur a charge over and above the normal prescription charge. This is because not all travel vaccinations are included in the services provided by the NHS.
